sticky impermanence

This work is included in a group show curated by Regine Basha titled "An exchange with Sol LeWitt" at MASS MoCA (2011), scheduled to accompany the Sol LeWitt retrospective in the same venue.

In the spirit of Sol LeWitt's generosity, the instructions pad is available for viewers to take freely. Each 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper has two identical instruction sets; as viewers take one themselves and cut one out to give to friends or xerox, acts of art gifting are multiplied, thus participating in the largesse of the gift economy movement. The sticky tape acrylic pieces accompany the instructions pad as the first two samples of carried out instructions.
