Color Felt

In Color Felt, I took a subjective and participatory social angle toward color, using translation as a metaphor for rethinking color’s historical relationship to emotional states. I spent several months gathering answers to a question I posed in social media: If you were to translate your current status into a color, what would it be? I then translated the Master List of answers into paintings and installations.
