UMM in Santa Ana: Catharsis_Underscore Repair

This socially engaged project is part of my ongoing artist residency at Grand Central Arts Center (GCAC) in Santa Ana, CA. The first phase of the residency is a project by the Unconfirmed Makeshift Museum (UMM), which included participatory events in May and June, 2022. I presented a work in progress, titled <catharsis_underscore repair>, related to the themes of violence and resilience. The work included a video that was developed from the interviews UMM conducted with attendees at GCAC events and in dialogue with CSUF College of Health and Human Development Associate Professor Claudia Pineda.
